Advice when you get your E71 home

If you are about to shop for a Nokia E71, make sure to double check for any blemishes on the phones, like scratches and so on. Make sure you are happy with the physical condition of the phone before you say yes to the sales person. As there are no more 1-1 exchange on all Nokia phones, you can only cry about it if you discover something later.

Ok, so you bought your E71. Congrats, and welcome to the family. The first thing you will notice is how shiny it looks, and definitely a fingerprint magnet. Guilty as charged! :) The standard leather sleeve which comes with the phone is too cumbersome to use, as you have to take the phone out everytime you want to use it.

It is just an accident waiting to happen, so get yourself a better case. A full leather case offers the best protection, but adds bulk to the phone. Forget about crystal casings, as they will crack sooner or later. Also, forget about the hype of Invisibishields, as the cutouts are not very well done, there will be gaps on the phone, and it looks awful. I would suggest just get a silicone skin case. They are cheap, protects the phone and not much bulk is added. Next, I will suggest get a screen protector for the phone.

There you have it. A well protected E71 ready for daily abuse...so to speak.
